Vision Care Successfully Concludes Free Clinical Eye Health Screening at Medicare 2026
Colombo, Sri Lanka – March 9, 2026 — Vision Care, Sri Lanka’s premier eye care solutions provider, successfully concluded a comprehensive, free eye health screening clinic at the Medicare 2026 International Healthcare Exhibition. The three-day event took place from March 6th to 8th at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo.
Operating from Booth A13-14, a dedicated team of Vision Care’s experienced eye care professionals provided specialized clinical services to exhibition attendees. The initiative focused entirely on advanced diagnostics, early detection, and public health education, reinforcing the critical importance of routine eye examinations.
Throughout the exhibition, Vision Care offered a range of vital screening services to the public completely free of charge, including:
- Comprehensive Visual Acuity Examinations: Baseline testing to assess general vision clarity.
- Intraocular Pressure (IOP) Assessments: Utilizing advanced tonometry to measure the fluid pressure inside the eye.
- Glaucoma Screenings: Specialized preliminary evaluations for the early detection of glaucoma, a leading cause of irreversible blindness.
- Advanced Retinal Imaging: High-resolution digital imaging to examine the health of the retina, optic nerve, and macula.
- Diabetic Eye Complication Screenings: Targeted examinations to identify early signs of diabetic retinopathy and other related ocular conditions.
The clinic prioritized raising awareness about “silent” eye diseases—conditions like glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy that often develop without early symptoms. By providing these essential diagnostic services directly to the public, Vision Care empowered attendees to take proactive steps in managing and safeguarding their long-term vision health.
Vision Care extends its sincere gratitude to the Medicare 2026 organizers and to all the individuals who visited the clinical booth over the three days. The company remains deeply committed to its mission of elevating the standard of eye care in Sri Lanka through accessible, high-quality clinical excellence and continuous community outreach.
